OUR STORY

This journey started in a £50 caravan, converted into a salon, and parked at the end of my Mum and Dad’s garden in Harefield.

I slowly progressed to a conservatory in the back of my house in South Oxhey, cutting hair while balancing a full-time job.

When I began cutting in a West Drayton barbers,  I often stayed in the evening to work on clients hair. In time, I became a co-owner, and the caravan seemed like a lifetime ago.

A friend and client of mine often commented on my love for a good Harley Davidson, and pretty much anything that had a bit of oomph. He suggested the name 'Horsepower', and from that point, a brand was born.

In 2003, I began planning for the future, and how my next shop would be bigger, and better than the rest. In April 2006, I sold my 50% share of the other business, my Harleys, and anything else I could to buy a popular and well-located, traditional barbershop in the centre of Uxbridge, on Windsor Street.

As it happens, two of my staff -- Sarah and Tracey -- were already working there, and within a year we had refitted the shop, changing the name above the door a short time later, expanding on the traditional barbershop to include a ladies hair boutique.

This expansion has provided our customers with access to experienced stylists that have both traditional barbering skills plus up-to-date ladies salon services, including: cutting, styling, colour, hair-up, and much more!

We continue to evolve, and the business has tripled in size to become your local, family salon with an edge.

We aim to accommodate everything from mild to wild, from your first haircut to your last.

... All with a little rock'n'roll thrown in, of course!

Adam Davis, Owner.
